What happens to the pension I have accrued to date?

Social partners (the employer and the TNO Works Council) have agreed that we will transfer your accrued pension to the new scheme. In the new scheme, you will receive pension capital for your accrued pension. We will calculate the value of the pension you have accrued. Are you using the TOP Capital and/or Extra Pension Capital schemes? In that case, this capital will be added to your pension capital in the new scheme.

When will I be informed about the amount of my pension?

Before switching to the new pension scheme, we will let you know how much pension you have accrued under the current scheme. You will also receive an initial estimate of your pension under the new scheme. You will receive another estimate from us a few months after the transition on 1 July 2026. This estimate will be more accurate because we will only know the exact value of the accrued pension at the time of transition.
Are you already receiving a pension benefit from us? Then your gross pension amount in the first month after the transition to the new scheme (July 2026) will remain the same as it was in the previous month. The net amount may be different, for example because of a change in tax rates. The following month, you will receive your pension benefit amount under the new scheme. We may have to correct this in relation to the pension you received from us in the previous month (July).
